The infrastructure of the place is known for its accurate sound reproduction. The seating capacity numbers in the thousands and is certainly one of the best places to experience arts of any form.
The SubstationAnother place for the arts in Singapore? Well, its got to be the Substation. One thing about the University Cultural Centre is that it is situated in the local campus of the National University of Singapore. Some of the local favorites for arts events - the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, the Concert in the Park and Ballet Under the Stars.The Singapore Symphony Orchestra is an ensemble of very talented musicians in Singapore. World re-owned for its capable direction and musical talent, the orchestra performs weekly at the Esplanade and is also one of the best excuses for experiencing the hottest arts venue in Singapore. Concert in the Park is run by the National Arts Council and its a very interesting concept. Here, you can bring along your little picnic basket and go to one of the many venues where it is held. You can hear local and international bands perform in places like the Botanic Gardens, West Coast Park and Bishan Park. Finally, the Ballet Under the Stars is organized by the Singapore Dance Theatre. Experience local dances by these talented people and you won't regret it.
